ENJOY WHAT THE UK HAS TO OFFER

As well as our many training courses we also offer to introduce divers that qualified in sunnier climes to diving in the UK. It can often be frustrating for a diver that has been bitten by the bug on holiday and then sits behind his/her desk until the next holiday before they can get wet. To this end we have come up with a programme that shows the holiday diver the differences in kit, methods and skills necessary to dive in the UK.

The programme consists of a days diving in open water and a pool session where you will be introduced to drysuits and the skills and safety procedures involved in their use.

An instructor will guide you on 2 dives through our great UK waters going over navigation, buoyancy and DSMB deployment skills.

By the end of it all you will be a far more confident diver ready to join our club and come on our fantastic trips.

Must be a PADI Open Water Diver or equivalent

You need to be in reasonable health and be able to answer 'no' to all the medical questions listed in the 'Course Booking Form' downloadable to the right. If you answer 'yes' to any question then the 'GPs Statement' (downloadable to the right) will have to be signed by your doctor prior to the course's commencement.

A diving hood and gloves are required equipment, along with any other personal kit you have
Proof of previous certification

Once you've seen how good UK diving is you may wish to take part in the Advanced Open Water course to show you other forms of diving, now that water temperature is no barrier. If a certain form of diving, such as Underwater Navigation or Night diving, is of interest then maybe focus in on one of our other Speciality Courses, but if you've been seriously bitten by the bug then maybe you would like to join our Master Scuba Diver Programme, the black belt of SCUBA. The cost of the Introduction to UK Diving Programme is £95 and is held over one pool session and on one day of the open water weekends below or spread over two days if preferred.
