Open Water Referral

The Open Water Referral course is ideal for those that wish to dive overseas but don't wish to waste valuable holiday time in a classroom or pool. We teach you to the point of your open water dives and then organise a referral sheet that you can take to any PADI centre in the world and complete your open water course. We'll even contact a dive centre for you and make sure the necessary dives are organised.

We can now also offer a long weekend in the south of France to finish off your open water dives with our partner centres at Diamond Diving. With a cost of £499 plus flights we can get you fully qualified as an Open Water Diver with a trip to the Cote D'Azur thrown in. Full details here

The Open Water Referral takes place over 2 days of theory and pool training, usually over 1 weekends. These days can be spread out over months, if necessary, to fit into your busy lives.

The course will have a maximum of 8 people on it with at least a 4 to 1 student:instructor ratio emphasising our commitment to safety and educational excellence.

If you wish to complete the open water training with us then the Open Water Course is the course for you, all that is involved in the Referral but also the open water dives, held at Stoney Cove, Europe's most popular dive site.

You will begin the course at home by watching a DVD and filling in questions within the course material. To book on any of our courses check out the dates below or download our 2007 calendar and call, email, skype us or pop in, we'll take care of the rest.

Course Pre-requisites

No diving experience necessary
Minimum age: 10 (The certification is classified as Junior Open Water until 15 with a max. depth of 12m)
Able to swim 200 meters non-stop any style
Able to tread water/float for 10 minute
 

You need to be in reasonable health and be able to answer 'no' to all the medical questions listed in the 'Course Booking Form' downloadable to the right. If you answer 'yes' to any question then the 'GPs Statement' (downloadable to the right) will have to be signed by your doctor prior to the course's commencement.

What's Next?

Once you've become an Open Water diver the world of SCUBA is yours to discover. If a certain form of diving, such as Underwater Photography or Night diving, is of interest then maybe focus in on one of our Speciality Courses; or if you wish to taste many different forms of diving try our Advanced course, your next step on the PADI ladder. But if you've been seriously bitten by the bug then maybe you would like to join our Master Scuba Diver Programme, the black belt of SCUBA.

Course Costs and Dates

The cost of the Open Water Referral is £249. Upon completion of the course you will be given your referral papers to take to your holiday destination's dive centre.
