Dry Suit Speciality

If you want to see the spectacular and prolific aquatic life often found in colder water climates you'll need to stay warm and that means a dry suit. But, you want to be trained in proper techniques and this is where PADI Dry Suit Diver Specialty course comes in.

During your PADI Dry Suit Diver Specialty course, you'll not only cover the background knowledge related to dry suit diving, you'll get into confined water to put that theory into practice. Then, once you've mastered confined water, it's time for two open water dives and applying that knowledge, including dive planning, organisation, techniques, problems and buoyancy control.

Course Pre-requisites

Must be a PADI Open Water Diver

You need to be in reasonable health and be able to answer 'no' to all the medical questions listed in the 'Course Booking Form' downloadable to the right. If you answer 'yes' to any question then the 'GPs Statement' (downloadable to the right) will have to be signed by your doctor prior to the course's commencement.

A diving hood and gloves are required specialist equipment and an undersuit or thermal underwear will be needed for the open water dives, please talk to your instructor or a member of DiverCity staff for advise

What's Next?

Once you've become a Dry Suit Diver you may wish to take part in the Advanced Open Water course to show you other forms of diving, now that water temperature is no barrier. If a certain form of diving, such as Underwater Navigation or Night diving, is of interest then maybe focus in on one of our other Speciality Courses, but if you've been seriously bitten by the bug then maybe you would like to join our Master Scuba Diver Programme, the black belt of SCUBA. Course Costs and Dates

The cost of the Dry Suit speciality is £130 and is held over one pool session and on one day of the open water weekends below or spread over two days if preferred.
