Underwater
Navigation
When you're
underwater, knowing where you are and where you're going
comes in handy, especially if you're looking for that
beautiful reef that you've heard all about. The PADI
Underwater Navigator Specialty course will help you
become a pro at finding your way underwater.
During your course you'll learn underwater navigation dive procedures, techniques, planning, organization and potential problems. You'll also be introduced to natural navigation, underwater patterns, distance estimation and further your compass navigation skills.
The PADI U/W Navigation certification counts toward your Master Scuba Diver rating and is run over 3 open water dives with your instructor.

Course Pre-requisites
Must be a PADI Open Water Diver
You need to be in
reasonable health and be able to answer 'no' to all the
medical questions listed in the 'Course Booking Form' downloadable
to the right. If you answer 'yes'
to any question then the 'GPs Statement' (downloadable
to the right) will have to be signed by your doctor prior to
the course's commencement.

What's Next?
Once you've become a Navigation Diver you may wish to take part in the Advanced Open Water course to show you other forms of diving. If a certain form of diving, such as Underwater Naturalist or Night diving, is of interest then maybe focus in on one of our other Speciality Courses, but if you've been seriously bitten by the bug then maybe you would like to join our Master Scuba Diver Programme, the black belt of SCUBA. The cost of the U/W Navigation speciality is £145 and is held over one day of the open water weekends below or spread over two days if preferred.
