First Aid At Work (HSE
Approved)
The course aims to train
employees up to the standard required by the Health and
Safety Executive for the Purpose of the Health and
Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.
Qualification
On completion of the course, candidates will be assessed
in Practical and Theory aspects of First Aid to the
Health and Safety Executive Approved standard.
Successful completion of the assessment will result in
the award of a ‘First Aid At Work’ certificate. This
will be Valid for three years and should be renewed by
attending a two-day Refresher course (see First Aid At
Work Re-Qualifier (HSE Approved))
before
the expiry date of the certificate.
Course Duration: 4-Days

Re-Qualifier (HSE Approved)
To update and re-qualify employees up to the standard
required by the Health and Safety Executive for the
purpose of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations
1981.
Qualification
On completion of the course, candidates will be assessed
in practical and theory aspects of First Aid to the
Health and Safety Executive Approved standard.
Successful completion of the assessment will result in
the award of a ‘First Aid At Work’ certificate. This
will be valid for three years and should be renewed by
attending a two-day refresher course before the expiry
date of the certificate. Attendance on a four day First
Aid At Work course will be compulsory if validity has
lapsed.
Pre-requisite
Candidates must hold a valid HSE First Aid At Work
certificate and will be required to fax a copy of the
certificate to ENVICO after booking confirmation,
alternatively bring this along to the course. Delegates
holding expired certificates will not be allowed to
attend this course.
Course Duration: 2-Days

Appointed Person
A Health & Safety Executive recommended, non-assessed
course. This is the minimum level of First Aid training
for the workplace, appropriate for low-risk environments
or for those acting in the absence of a fully qualified
First Aider.

Course Outcome:
On completion of the course, delegates will receive a
certificate of attendance.
